Christmas 2009

Holiday season is our very favorite time of year (Slade loves it because it also means hunting season..lol) We both spent Thanksgiving with our families. Slade went to Pampa to see his Dad, and I went to Dallas to celebrate with my family.

Christmas was very eventful!!! We decided at the beginning of December to host Christmas at our house!!! We had all the plans made and the house ready, but we had a slight change of plans with the biggest snow storm OKC has seen in several years!!

College friends Christmas Party!!! It has become one of my favorite traditions with these girls!!! When we get together, its guaranteed to be a good time!!

And the infamous blizzard!!!!! It postponed my sister's trip by a day, and postponed Slade's family by several weeks. I've never seen so much snow in the OKC area in the 6 years I've lived here!!! It was so CRAZY, but definitely a Christmas to remember!!

FALL 2009 in a nutshell

Fall of 2009 at the Terry household was interesting to say the least. Although we got married in August, Slade was in the middle of job seaarching, so we continued to live 5 hrs apart from August to the end of October.

This is Slade before his interview with El Reno Fire Dept........about 2 weeks after this picture, we found out he got the job!!! God blessed us significantly!!! Slade loves his job and his coworkers!!

Darling baby Claire turned 1 at the end of October. My parents and I flew up to Indiana for the big Birthday celebration!!! The weather was gorgeous, so we took a day to go to the pond and see the geese!!

HONEYMOON

Slade and I spent a week in Cabo San Lucas for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Dreams Los Cabos Resort where we enjoyed the royal treatment. Our all inclusive vacation allowed us to do anything we wanted, eat anything we wanted, drink anything we wanted. We spent most days at the pool enjoying the poolside cafe food and swim up bar! Other activities we enjoyed included an afternoon at the spa for a couples massage, a day in town where we shopped in the local market, an evening dinner cruise, and a snorkeling adventure. It was by far the best vacation we have ever been on!!!

OUR HOME

Shortly before getting maarried, Slade and I purchased our first home! When people ask where we live, we have a hard time explaining the location. Our mailing address is Yukon, OK. We pay utilities to OKC, and we are in the Mustang school district. I like to call in YUtang. We are enjoying the adventures of being home owners, and we love having our own space!!! We have lots of extra room and love having visitors (hint, hint)
